What are the rates, fees, and interest for personal loans?

Your annual percentage rate (APR) is the overall yearly cost of your loan, including fees and interest.

We calculate the APR on your loan offer based on several factors, including things like your debt-to-income ratio and the loan amount. Since Happen Bank loans are fixed-rate loans, that number (as well as your monthly payment and interest rate) won’t change over time.

Here’s a closer look at the fees and interest that make up your APR.

Fees

At Happen Bank, you pay an origination fee of 0% to 8% of the loan amount on most loans—the exact amount depends on your personal credit history. For personal loan refinance, you pay a fixed processing fee of 1% of the new loan amount.

Our loans have no application fees or brokerage fees. We also don’t charge prepayment fees for early payoffs.

We may assess late fees (and other penalties) on payments that are more than 15 days late, but you can avoid those fees by staying current with your monthly payments.

Interest

Your interest rate indicates how much you’ll pay in interest per year.

We calculate interest daily based on a 360-day year with 12 months. That means that each month is treated as though it has 30 days for interest to accrue, even if the month has more or fewer days.

If you want to reduce the amount of interest you pay over the life of your loan, you can make extra payments or pay off your loan in full at any time—as noted above, you won’t see any penalties or fees for paying your loan off ahead of schedule.

Speed means different things at different stages of a loan. How quickly you see an offer is one thing. How quickly the loan is actually issued is another. The biggest factor in the second one is what you bring to the application. Accurate documents, matching information, and fast responses to any follow-up requests are what move an application through.

For Personal Loans, APR ranges from 5.96% APR to 35.96% APR and origination/processing fee ranges from 0.00% to 8.00% of the loan amount. APRs and origination/processing fees are determined at the time of application. The lowest APR may be available to borrowers with excellent credit, subject to additional factors including, but not limited to, loan amount, loan term, and sufficient investor commitment. Advertised rates and fees are valid as of July 06, 2026, are subject to change without notice, and may not be available for all Personal Loan products and/or through all application channels or platforms.

A representative example of payment terms for a Personal Loan is as follows: a borrower receives a loan of $15,262 for a term of 36 months, with an interest rate of 13.99% and a 6% origination fee of $916, for an APR of 18.40%. In this example, the borrower will receive $14,346 and will make 36 monthly payments of $522. Loan amounts range from $1,000 to $75,000 and loan term lengths range from 24 months to 84 months. Some amounts, rates, and term lengths may be unavailable in certain states, and may not be available for all Personal Loan products and/or through all application channels or platforms.

Credit eligibility is not guaranteed. APR and other credit terms depend upon credit score and other key financing characteristics, including but not limited to the amount financed, loan term length, and credit usage and history.
