Is surprise dead?

Recent research we’ve done with Generation Z has highlighted quite a different attitude to food compared to previous generations. Then notion of surprise for instance, is no longer important. Other generations look forward to this spontaneous aspect – going to restaurants and deciding on the night what you feel like eating, is part of the over all enjoyment.

For those in the food industry, it feels important that we dig a bit deeper as to what’s really going on with Gen Z to understand why they’re behaving differently and what the implications are for us in the industry moving forward.
