As usual we have an exciting and varied breadth of innovations this month. But look out for ethical, low-waste consumerism, which is on the rise among big name brands: Asos has introduced responsible filter options, while Kellogg’s continues to experiment with a totally novel approach – beers made from cereal waste. Plastic reduction remains high on the agenda, with Unilever reducing plastic in its packaging, Springfield Properties turning it into tarmac, and Cora Balls removing microplastics from our washing machines. Elsewhere, meat-free goes mainstream at Nestlé, Marriott launches the luxe Airbnb and Uber hones its high-end offering.
