Top flavour trends from lunch! food to go show 2015
Check out the top 3 flavour trends we spotted at the lunch! show this year:
After a great harvest, this vegetable was by far the top ingredient in all products from teas to bars to drinks! A tart flavour favoured by younger men, this is particularly coming through in the tea world where rhubarb tea sales have recently spiked.
2. Hot and Spicy
This flavour combo was a winner this year in the forms of; Wasabi, Chorizo and Chipotle.
3. Salted caramel
A hark back to flavours of the past; salty caramel was a best-selling favourite in bars and popcorn this year.
Other interesting flavour mixes spotted at the show included pistachio & rosemary and chipotle & apple, as well as fruit and veg mash-ups.
