Taste of London Winter Festival
Here at Happen are we passionate about food and drink innovation. Therefore, what better way to get inspiration then attending the multi-sensory experience of Taste of London!
This is an event where London’s hottest restaurants create incredible dishes to taste, top chefs cook amazing dishes in live demonstrations and it’s an opportunity for the Happen innovation consulting team to get a taste of some of the newest food and drink flavours and trends.
Check out the top 3 trends we spotted at the Taste of London festival this November:
We can now subscribe to meal boxes, cocktail kits, tea kits, organic meat boxes, vegetables and juices and much more.
The great appeal of joining a subscription package is the opportunity to try new things and the reduction of food waste by receiving everything in precise meal portions.
Good for your health:
Products that claim they are good for your health is another big takeout from the festival. People want to get as much as they can out of what they are eating, so instead of swallowing a bunch of vitamins in the morning, we would rather receive the health benefits in our breakfast or snacks between meetings. Some of the brands we saw at Taste in the health sector were; More drinks, Miracle Tree tea and Presscription.
What will be next with healthy food and drink product innovation? Will our treaty doughnut fix make our hair thicker and our nails stronger?!
New ways of experiencing alcohol:
Our consciousness about our health and our demand for new exciting experiences may have an influence on how we drink and experience alcohol.
We saw among others: edible drinks from Smith & Sinclair, a personal cocktail kit so you can mix up your own amazing cocktails at home from Shaken, and an alcohol-free drink from Azizi that tasted of an alcoholic drink, but without the hangover effect!
